After completion of the course:
The students will get knowledge and skills of advance techniques on livestock and poultry management practices as well as processing of various value-added milk products. These technologies can further be passed on to farming community during their RAWE visit. In the final year, that is during their experiential learning module, the students will learn and develop entrepreneurial skills in the preparation and processing of various value-added milk products, acquaint in project writing, evaluate the financial viability of the project and also understand the marketing strategies essential for the sale of their produce.

Research Trials:
Department of Animal Science and Dairy Science has done several trials on formulating fruit based Shrikand recipes with the help of locally available fruits from Goa. This work was done along with the help of final year students who had enrolled for dairy processing module. The parameters required for fruit pulp analysis was carried out with the help rendered by the department of Horticulture. The products made were evaluated by Hedonic scale with the help of experts from various fields in the campus. It was indeed a great success. We wish to further collaborate the work with Goa Diary and Italab for the physical and chemical parameters of the samples so that the sample may be used commercially in the market.
